Managed Support focuses on Google Workspace administration only. It does not include end-user device support, general IT troubleshooting, non-Google applications, or large-scale projects such as migrations or restructures. These services are covered under our wider Support Plans or delivered as quoted project work.

Can I move onto an Ostratto Support Plan later?

Yes. You can move onto an Ostratto Support Plan at any time.

If you do, Google Workspace Managed Support will be included automatically as part of your plan.

Is there any incentive to move onto a Support Plan?

Existing customers who move onto an Ostratto Support Plan during the transition to mandated Managed Services will receive a 6-month price lock on their chosen Support Plan, providing pricing certainty while benefiting from broader support coverage. Learn more.

Why is there a minimum charge?

Google Workspace Managed Support includes a minimum monthly charge per domain because there is a baseline level of administration and management required for every Google Workspace environment, regardless of the number of users.

The minimum charge reflects the ongoing administration, billing management, and security oversight required for each Google Workspace domain. Even very small environments require the same core management and responsibility, which is why a minimum monthly charge applies.


How does Managed Support work with annual subscriptions?

Google Workspace Managed Support is applied alongside your Google Workspace subscription, but for existing Google Workspace users, how and when it is charged depends on how your licences are billed.

  • If you have paid for Google Workspace annually upfront, Managed Support will be applied at your next renewal. No Managed Support charges will be added until your current annual term ends.
  • If you are on an annual commitment but pay monthly, Google Workspace Managed Support applies during the current term and is billed monthly alongside your subscription.
  • If you are on a flexible (no commitment) Google Workspace subscription and pay monthly, Google Workspace Managed Support is also required and is billed monthly alongside your subscription.

This approach ensures Managed Support aligns fairly with how your Google Workspace subscription is billed.

What happens if I choose to manage Google Workspace directly with Google?
​If you choose to manage Google Workspace directly with Google:

  • Google will become your provider for billing and support
  • You will be responsible for managing your Google Workspace environment, including users, access, and configuration
  • Support requests will be handled directly by Google, rather than by Ostratto
  • Ostratto will no longer administer, manage, or provide support for your Google Workspace setup

Managing Google Workspace directly is suitable for organisations that are comfortable handling administration and changes themselves, and working directly with Google for support.

If you decide to move to Google direct, we can assist with the transition to ensure access and billing are handed over cleanly.
