Sustainability Policy

How we build sustainability into our operations and partnerships.

1. Purpose

At Ostratto, we believe sustainability is a shared responsibility. This policy demonstrates our commitment to protecting the environment while delivering value to our clients. Ostratto Ltd (“Ostratto”, “we”, “our”, “us”) is committed to conducting business responsibly and minimising the environmental impact of our operations. This policy outlines our approach to sustainability across our offices, services, and supply chain.

2. Our Commitment
We aim to integrate sustainable practices into every part of our business by:
  • Reducing our carbon footprint and energy consumption
  • Promoting responsible use of resources and waste reduction
  • Selecting environmentally responsible suppliers and partners
  • Supporting remote work and digital transformation to limit travel
  • Complying with all relevant environmental legislation and best-practice standards

3. Energy and Resource Efficiency
We strive to:
  • Use energy-efficient equipment and lighting in all office locations
  • Reduce paper use through digital documentation and e-signing
  • Recycle or responsibly dispose of electronic equipment
  • Choose cloud-based tools that operate on renewable-energy data centres where possible

4. Travel and Transport
We minimise business travel through the use of video conferencing and online collaboration.

Where travel is necessary, we:
  • Prefer public transport or car-sharing
  • Offset unavoidable carbon emissions where feasible
  • Encourage flexible working to reduce commuting impact

5. Procurement and Partnerships
We prioritise working with suppliers and partners who share our environmental and ethical values.

Wherever possible, we select products and services that are:
  • Energy-efficient
  • Sustainably sourced or produced
  • Delivered through fair-trade or low-carbon supply chains

6. Continuous Improvement
We review our sustainability performance annually and set realistic objectives to improve. Feedback from our team, clients, and partners is encouraged to help us identify new ways to enhance our environmental and social impact.

7. Communication and Awareness
We promote environmental awareness among employees and encourage sustainable habits both in the workplace and at home. All new employees are introduced to this policy during onboarding and are expected to support its aims.

8. Responsibility
Overall responsibility for this policy rests with the Managing Director, who ensures its implementation and periodic review.

All employees share responsibility for supporting Ostratto’s sustainability goals in their daily work.

We operate in accordance with the UK Environmental Protection Act 1990 and other applicable environmental regulations.

9. Review
This policy will be reviewed annually to ensure its ongoing suitability and effectiveness.
